About Me

Most girls dream big when they’re young.  I was no different- I was sure I going to have it ALL (the home, the husband, the kids, the dog, the career) and look good while doing it.  The reality of adulthood is things never turn out quite like we plan. But I’m so grateful for the life I’ve been given, a huge portion of which involves being the best Mrs. Jones I can be.

I've been teaching for twenty years at the most amazing little school in my hometown.  For the last decade, I've taught fourth grade AIG, and all my experience has been in upper elementary except for the year of substitute teaching when I quit after my first year teaching (that’s another story).  I truly love my job and feel so blessed to know it’s so much more than just a job.

When I’m not teaching, I’m spending time with Mr. Jones and our daughter, Jana.  We watch Jeopardy every night, play nerdy board games, and love on our mini goldendoodle, Wilson.  We work with the youth group at our church and weekends we aren’t busy with that you can often find us in the mountains or at the beach—we love to travel anywhere!

I love books (especially children’s books) and I also love to write.  I started out blogging years ago and occasionally I revert back to non-school talk here as well. I look forward to sharing my school (and other) adventures with you here.  Thanks for stopping by!
